How to Open a Support Ticket (From Scratch)
Whether you're locked out of your VPS, have a billing question, or just need help getting set up, our support ticket system gets you a reply in under 60 seconds during business hours. Here's the full process, starting from zero.
Prerequisites
- An Alpha Core VPS account (see Step 1 if you don't have one yet)
- Nothing else — no ticket number, no email required, everything happens inside your dashboard
Step 1: Create an Account (Skip if You Already Have One)
1. Go to Register
2. Enter your name, email, and a password
3. Verify your email if prompted
4. You'll be signed in and redirected to your dashboard
Already have an account? Go to Login instead.
Step 2: Log In to Your Dashboard
1. Go to Login and enter your credentials
2. You'll land on your Dashboard at /dashboard
Step 3: Open the Tickets Section
1. In the dashboard sidebar, click Support Tickets
2. This takes you to /dashboard/tickets, where you can see all your past and open tickets
Step 4: Start a New Ticket
1. Click the New Ticket (or Open Support Ticket) button
2. This opens the ticket form at /dashboard/tickets/new
Step 5: Fill Out the Ticket Form
1. Subject — a short, clear summary (at least 5 characters), e.g. "Can't RDP into my VPS"
2. Department — choose the one that fits best:
- Technical Support
- Billing
- Sales
- General Inquiry
3. Priority — Low, Medium, High, or Urgent (Medium is selected by default)
4. Message — describe your issue in detail (at least 20 characters). Include error messages, what you already tried, and steps to reproduce the problem
Step 6: Attach Files (Optional)
1. Click Click to attach files
2. You can attach up to 3 files (JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, PDF, or TXT), 5MB each
3. Screenshots of error messages are especially helpful
Step 7: Submit
1. Click Submit Ticket
2. You'll be taken straight to your new ticket's page, where you can see its status and reply to follow up
What Happens Next
- Our team typically responds within 59 seconds
- You'll get a notification (and email, if enabled) when someone replies
- You can keep replying on the same ticket page until it's resolved — no need to open a new one for the same issue
Troubleshooting
- Can't find "New Ticket"? Make sure you're logged in — the button only appears inside the dashboard, not on the public site
- Form won't submit? Check that your subject is at least 5 characters and your message is at least 20 characters
- Attachment rejected? It's either over 5MB or not one of the supported file types (JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, PDF, TXT)
